Administrative Assistant: Dana Greer

My story began August 20, 2019. This was the day I had my surgery done to lose weight. I prayed and believe God showed me that this was the way I was going to be able to lose the weight I needed to help me get on a healthy path. I still know God showed me to do this, but it hasn't been the path I thought it would be. I did fine for the first few months after the surgery and then I began to have some problems. I began to be sick to my stomach, vomiting and diaharia. Because of that I became dehydrated and malnurished. Those two things take a long time to recover from. I was put in the hospital December 18th and they administered fluids to get me back to where I needed to be. I was there for five days until I got to go home. During my time at home I had to continue the fluids where Home Health came in and checked on me. James knew how to do all the fluids because of being an EMT so that was a huge help. Things would go well for several days and then I would have a bad day. This continued for a month or so. I began to feel really weak and would go from my bedroom to the kitchen and by the time I got back to my chair I could hardly breath. This continued until one day I was headed to work and saw a few boxes on my porch. I put them in the house and by the time I got to the car I could hardly breath. I nearly called 911 because I couldn't get it under control. Instead I went on to the office and barely got in the front door. James immediately called my doctor and got me in the see her. She checked me over and sent me to the ER. Once there they began to run tests and found out I had a blood clot in each lung, pneumonia in one lung and conjestive heart failure. Later they found another blood clot in my left leg. They also discovered I had C-Diff. I was put in the hospital at BSA and was there for a week. During that time they wouldn't let me out of the bed because of the clots. So after they released me I went to rehab because I was so weak. I stayed a week there and decided I could continue my rehab at home. So here I am. It has been a trip for sure. I've always been a healthy person, even being heavy. I want to thank each one of you for all the prayers you sent my way. I've never felt so loved and appreciated. I know God is our Healer and He heard your prayers on my behalf. Bless you and thank you.
